What is WIRELESS BROADBAND?

WIRELESS BROADBAND from CommSpeed is high-speed internet delivered over-the-air throughout your service area (typically your city or town).

We use fully-licensed frequencies to deliver our signal to and from your PC. This means your data is encyrpted, unlike some non-licensed wireless providers.

Our service is Wi-MAX ready, meaning we're compatible with the future emerging high-speed wireless standard.

How easy is it to install?

Our service was designed to be super easy. Just plug the modem into your PC or laptop via the supplied ethernet cable, plug the modem into a power outlet, open your web browser and begin surfing. No drivers to download or configuration needed

How fast is WIRELESS BROADBAND?

Download speeds range from 768kpbs to 1.5 Mbps. Upload speeds are 256kbps. That's fast enough for most users who surf the web. At those speeds, you can enjoy smooth audio and video playback and fast web page surfing.

Where can I use WIRELESS BROADBAND?

WIRELESS BROADBAND can be used anywhere in a CommSpeed service area. Just plug in the wireless modem to your PC or laptop and start surfing. Take it with you to the office or anywhere in our service area. Please see our coverage map for details.

By the way, the modem does not need to be in line of site of a tower, though certain buildings or terrain may cause signal loss.

Can I share my WIRELESS BROADBAND

Yes, a router or wireless router can be installed to your wireless modem to share your service.
